The Marine Trace Element Laboratory at USC studies the ways in which trace metal nutrients such as iron, zinc, and cadmium control the distribution of life in the oceans, and how these elements can be used to better understand life in the oceans, past, present, and future.
MTEL is led by USC professor Seth John, and includes a dynamic group of exciting young researchers at the postdoctoral, graduate, and undergraduate level. We are always looking for talented students and postdocs to join the lab. Graduate students can apply through the USC Department of Earth Sciences. Postdocs are encouraged to reach out to Prof. John directly. |
